cPanel and WHM requirements

Before starting the installation of cPanel/WHM using RealCloud Docker Hub you may want to understand the prerequisites on RealCloud. Have a look on them here:

  • A cPanel/WHM Docker Image [We are using Jeleatic cPanel for this example, you may choose any image/version of your choice.]
  • A Public IP [Public IP can be added anytime from RealCloud Dashboard, Available to fully active accounts only]

Hardware Requirements:

  • A compatible operating system version of CentOS, CloudLinux or RHEL.
  • Minimum 1 GB RAM
  • Minimum 10 GB Disk Space

Other Key Considerations:

  • cPanel/WHM is a commercial software designed to manage website hosting, it can only be licensed on a Public Static IP Address
  • cPanel/WHM should always be installed on a clean server. No existing installations should be there.
  • Log in as "root" user on server to perform all required actions.

Let's get started with a quick cPanel/WHM deployment on RealCloud. Here is how:

  1. Select "New Environment" or "Create New Environment" from RealCloud Dashboard.
  2. Select "Docker" at the top in the next step.
  3. Select "Select Image".
  4. In the Docker Hub search "jelasticdocker/cpanel"
  5. Choose "jelasticdocker/cpanel" image and click "Next".
  6. Attach Public IPs from RealCloud Dashboard.
  7. Select/Click "Create".

Hurrah!!! Your cPanel/WHM on RealCloud deployment is done.

You'll receive the cPanel/WHM "root" credentials in your mailbox within next minutes.
